According to the official statement by Super Sentai, King-Ohger’s theme will be about Athropods and Royalty. This is a very interesting approach to the Super Sentai franchise.
Perhaps one of the most interesting things about King-Ohger, are the designs. The designs are absolutely stunning! Other designs have been revealed through these scans, such as the design of the Mecha and more characters.
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger is set to air on March 5, 2023. It will be the 47th installment of the long running Super Sentai franchise dating back to 1975, joining Kamen Rider Geats, in the Super Hero Time line-up.
Last year during the run of Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, actor Higuchi Koei of DonMomotaro, said that the Super Sentai was going to end after the conclusion of Donbrothers, due to trivial reasons. According to his statement, he said that the creative team told the cast that “they were going to be part of a 46 entries long series that could end with them.” There were rumors that the reason for the series coming to an end, may be due to declining ratings and low toy sales.
But now with the newest reveal of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger alongside it’s announcement a few months back, that scary rumor is now officially put to rest. As it stands, Super Sentai will continue to save the world from evil doers.
